第25届奥斯卡金像奖颁奖典礼于1953年3月19日 在美国洛杉矶的雷电华潘太及斯剧院（RKO Pantages Theatre）和 美国纽约的NBC国际剧院（NBC International Theatre）同时进行。主持人分别是鲍勃·霍普（Bob Hope）和康拉德·纳格尔（Conrad Nagel ）（纽约现场）。本届颁奖典礼是第一次通过电视转播。
